Individual dog training sessions are perfect for those dogs or people who would prefer a little more space from others. They are also great for working on specific skills. Often our dogs will learn better if they start in an environment where they are comfortable and where there are minimal distractions.
Some families want to all be involved in training their dogs. An individual dog training session allows us to work together to not only teach your dog, but to teach all of your family members at the levels that they are ready for.
In the first session, you would have a chat with our trainer. This will enable us to get a really good idea of who your dog is, and what goals you may have. This information is integral in creating a picture of where you are at and where you would like to be. The better that we understand how your family works, the better we can tailor your management and training plan to fit the lifestyle of you, your family and your dog.
With a plan in place, you will get to work with your trainer as they teach you how to action your plan. If there are any areas that you find don’t suit you, we will modify your plan. It is important to us that you have a chance to try out the plan, take any notes or videos that might help you and are confident with where you are headed.

- Managing undesired behaviours and teaching alternatives
- Walking on a loose leash
- Building a reliable recall
- Teaching your dog to listen to their name
- Proofing an emergency stop
- Teaching alternatives to jumping on guests
- Becoming more interesting than the dogs at the park

- Tricks training
- Setting your dog up with enrichment
- Teaching your dog that nail trimming is ok
